Space heating
Supplies warm water to compatible emitters such as underfloor circuits, fan coils or appropriately selected radiators.
Air-to-water heat pumps
An air-to-water heat pump transfers energy from outdoor air into a building's water system. Correct selection connects the unit with the real heating and cooling loads, required water temperatures, emitters, circulation and controls.
GOLD · SYSTEM GUIDE
Depending on the selected model and system design, a heat pump can supply space heating, chilled or cooled water, and domestic hot-water storage. The hydraulic circuit and controls determine how these applications operate together.

Supplies warm water to compatible emitters such as underfloor circuits, fan coils or appropriately selected radiators.
Selected reversible systems can supply cooled water to suitable terminal units and a correctly designed condensate strategy.
Works with a correctly sized hot-water cylinder, heat exchanger arrangement and control sequence.
Air-to-water heat pumps
The current GOLD range includes two air-to-water platforms. Exact performance depends on the selected model and operating conditions.
Full-inverter models in 8, 12, 16 and 22 kW heating capacities, with outlet water up to 80 C.
Models in 8, 12.5, 16 and 22 kW heating capacities, with outlet water up to 60 C and cabinet configuration varying by capacity.
Air-to-water heat pumps
Capacity alone is not enough. A useful project review starts from the building and the operating conditions.
The building's calculated demand at local winter design conditions.
Outdoor design temperatures and the seasonal conditions in the project location.
The supply temperature needed by the selected emitters and domestic hot-water strategy.
Flow rates, pressure loss, buffer volume, separation and circulation requirements.
Underfloor loops, fan coils, radiators or other water-side terminal equipment.
Zones, sensors, operating priorities and the coordination of heating, cooling and hot water.
